The Gospel For All People

May 6, 2023    Josh Lott

Our world is rapidly changing, so much so that the culture in which we live might look like a completely foreign entity. But we shouldn’t be shocked by a culture that looks foreign to us, even if its in our own back yard. Our response should be to engage, rather than to run away. Two historical figures that embrace engagement with foreign cultures in their backyards are 16th century Dominican Friar Bartolomé de las Casas and 18th century pastor Jonathan Edwards. In this breakout session, we will be looking at the ministries that these two men had with indigenous people groups and learn how we can engage with a rapidly evolving technological age that speaks a different language and processes the world differently than we have been accustomed.
