December 20-22

5-7pm

What is it?

The CKPC Advent Pilgrimage will be a walking event held on the CKPC property for you to journey into the Advent and Christmas season, held on December 20, 21, and 22 from 5-7pm. This will be completely outdoor, and is a self-guided event to ensure physical distancing. There will be interactive stations for all ages. Think of it as an event somewhere in between our Ash Wednesday service with its spiritual stations, and the holiday fun of going to something like Zoolights.

Everyone! Some mobility is required. If you feel comfortable walking around the Bloedel Reserve, this will be very doable. The entire distance walked is less than a quarter mile and there are places to rest along the way.

You’ll probably want to bring:

  • Comfortable walking clothes/shoes (including rain/cold gear depending on the weather)
  • A flashlight or headlamp (the path will be lit and marked, but if you’d like the added comfort, please bring one)
  • A pen
  • A walking stick or trekking pole (again, this is not a rigorous walk, but there are a couple places where the ground is a little uneven and you may prefer to have something to lean on).
